Travelling with wife, no Google Earth, no time for these entertainments. Will post in a few days.

    Cheers.

Hi guys! I'm sorry not to have been here with you enjoying this thread but I have been quite busy lately (Stu knows) and presently I'm taking some days off with my children aboard good old "Marie". I'll try to cope when back but, to be honest, I have to tell you nowadays I'm feeling somewhat lazy about forums.

    Best regards.

Sorry, have not a clue. And tomorrow I have to drag the sailing dinghy up on the shore below our summer house and drive home to get some work done after four weeks of swimming and sailing :)

If I was to hazard a whopping guess, it would have to be Farol Concha on Ilha do Mel, in the Brazilian southern state of Parana? But it would be a whopper.

Do they have Burger King down there? Do you like the whopper with bacon?

It is Ilha do Mel!!! Soon Ilhas.............

HaHa! sometimes a wild guess works out!

I´ll have to go home and find a suitable photo to post.

Bk is better thatn MacD´s for sure but that wasnt on my mind when I mentioned whoppers!

Ha, wanted to send you a "sixpack" but " must spread some reputation ....." and so on.

Have you been there? I visited the island on my second circle very nice and quiet place. Had some ruins of a old Fort or prison. Nice beaches too, but no good anchorage.

OK I see a railway line? some bougainvillea, the odd palm tree, but not coconut? TV (UHF), possibly variable water supply or rainwater (header tank on house below, BEAUTIFUL harbour but only for modest sized shipping (but more could be hidden)... I am thinking subtropical but very pleasant climate, mainland but not too close to heavily populated areas (lack of marina's - unless they too are hidden)... and after a search of the E coast of Brazil, could not find any likely places, but I could have missed it....
