So, did you buy the papers (CD)?

    Was it worth it?

Give it a rating from 1 to five?

Are we talking Auckland, about two years ago? Authored a paper. Didn't go (other author presented - rats), but he brought back the book. Some good papers.

    Yep Auckland dec. 2002

I thought i did read your name somewhere...
"Yacht optimisation based on genetic algorithm using RANSE solver"
    Was that yours? [C. Barry]

So the question is is there enough "meat" in those papers to pay 100 GBP almost 200 USD for them all?

There'll be a new conferene next year again.

    For anyone interested check here:

No, I was "Implementation ... Zarnick Strip Theory ... Planing Boats", co-authors Akers, Ghosh and Ulak.

It depends, they are mostly pretty heavy going. Also, unless you have the software in question, or can develop it, many are not absolutely useful - our paper, the RANS one, and others were "we implemented this technique and it worked this well". So they are only of real use if you are in a position to use a "Zarnick ..." or to write a RANS solver, or whatever. It is pretty cutting edge stuff offering a lot of meat on a highly professional level, and tends to prove these advanced techniques and show their limits, but if you aren't using these advanced techniques then ...
