what will happen when a hurricane hits Gulf spill?

    The price of oil is a useful tool...
    Western governments all cry when it goes down as they lose the tax income....
    3rd world cry when it goes up....

    Some producers have very low costs some are over USD50..
    Many producers have no refinerys so are short of the end product that they use that thay have to buy back refined products hence making almost no money...DOH

    PS Gold is the gift to the boater.....
    All surfaces facing the elements should be gold plated.
    All wire and terminals should be gold plated ( like the chip in your PC)
    The inside of your engine.
    The lenses of your sunglasses ( beaten very thin)
    etc
    etc

    The rest is,-- should be-- but isnt.

    What is the etc etc you forgot teeth! and I would say don't have to be for all you suggestions, there is better.

    Suglass lenses beaten thin , what to 1/8 inch. (Electronic plating I think you mean)

    If you can see through it it is microns, cost 10 cents.

    I meant IF gold was cheap that were I'd be using it
    and yes it would be thin for your glasses. That technology was/is used in astronauts face shields
    I'm not sure how they are created?

    (Chips have had gold plated pins for years)

    Gold doesnt corrode..surely the solution to many problems
