    Hi,

I'm thinking of changing the fore deck of this fairly plastic and plain looking fiberglass Whiting 16 day sailor into the a far nicer, shapely version called a coronet custom 16 as shown in the first 3 pics.

Any ideas on how to best make the alterations?

It is amazing what a bit of mahogany and an eye for nice lines can achieve!

    Cheers

    Richard

    Welcome to the forum.

You can do just about anything to make these changes, though you may want to value the cost and effort, against what you might be getting from the modifications.

You're correct, a little bright work can pretty up anything and I'll bet you can get a similar effect, just by putting on a nice oak (or whatever species) rub rail on and maybe a splash guard.
