This picture in on the bio of Tad Roberts website.

I find this picture absolutly beautiful, and I went in the past several time on Tad's website just to look at it. It make my imagination dreaming of being mysel in this secluded cove with the yawl in front of me!!

I wanted to share my thought about this very romantic moment

And this is what Tad is writing about it:

Please give your most romatic boat picture. Boat is about romance after all. It's time we share that.
    Thank you Tad.

    Oh ya another connection......

The picture above was probably taken in the mid 1920's, it was rather famous at the time and was published in various magazines and books. Including the well known book Sailing Craft, by Edwin Schoettle, published in 1937.

The location is Malaspina Galleries, on the north end of Gabriola Island. I now live aboard my ketch anchored at the south end of Gabriola Island, 90 years later. The Island is mostly made of soft sandstone, and the Galleries are natural formations eroded by millions of years of waves beating against the shoreline.

Ok Fanie, I have to explain you something about the bees and the flowers.

Romantism has nothing to do with man, underwear, woman bycliclette, automobiles, airplane and the list is long.

Romantic moment is a precious moment in time, seeing a boat in a special place, and you feel warmth in your heart because it remind you good souvenirs, good moment in life, and gave you the opportunity to reunites all your emotions. Just because you see that picture.
In that case I ask for a romantic BOAT picture.
I am sure you have one. I went over Chack Chack multiple time (Tad didn't know) because I find in this picture the calm and the solitude I so enjoy.
It also remind me beautiful time while sailing in secluded places.
    Show us.

I'm not sure weather this is a sunrise or sunset, but it looks to be a wonderful beginning or ending of a wonderful day.

The photo shows a beautiful latin chick ( I like them latin ;) ) under sails in Croatia. What a marvellous feeling it must be, to sail among croatian islands on board this beauty.

It's good to see you back in fine form Daniel

Summer is fading here but we still have some nice days and the water is still around 18 degrees C in the bays on a sunny day.

And a bit of romance in the romantic picture too :)

    Hows that Fanie?

Thank you for your kind word.
Your picture reming me when I had my yard in Spain. The beach was with little pebble, the Med was fantastic and while buiding boats right on the shore we had all the tourist in Summer coming to see our progress. It was fun, and the work sometime was getting forgoten due to some beautiful tourists keeping our heart busy!
    Restaurants and condos took over.
