    The boat was stripped, literally only 'glass, a molded in water tank and the lead ballast, which was half the weight of the lift. The trailer was about 30' away and if the straps are long (note the four big *** shackles, connecting them to more straps, likely 30' just to the deck) they don't apply that much pressure to the hull. No pops or crackling was heard.

    It's nice to have friends that happen to own 25 ton cranes. This wasn't our first go 'round with a boat hoist. Ed and I have snatched them out of some pretty weird places. This was one of the easiest lifts I've done.

    Well I (censored) and cuddled and (censored) and - - I think I am turning into a wombat..... Oh and we went looking for land and houses - found a nice block and lovely lady likes a particular design by some builder (forget the name), so time to get ready to move again soon....

    My pronlems with making the burcatchs hapeee is driving me to drink - Oh well will certainly sleep tight tonight....

    no problems with the pictures at my end. :cool:

    Took my kids and two month old grandson to see my dear old mother over the weekend. Round trip of about 900km - commandeered my son to drive and yours truly enjoyed the splendour of the land, or let me rephrase, what is left of it. Phiellemon and friend has no idea about preserving the land for generations to come:mad:

    He he Jim, are you a foreigner when you're from another continent or country, or is it only when you don't understand what they are saying :rolleyes:

    Actually we're from the same place... just a BIG river between us, no matter where you live everyone wants he same things ... in this case biltong :D
