I used to know a noodle doodler, he worked for Oodles in Bootle. I don't know what he does at weekend though.

 

It's 5`f and there is six inches of snow on the ground, I have stayed
in the house, drank a lot of coffee and worked on my latest project!

The wife in on the west coast waiting for the weather to improve
so she can fly the borrowed airplane home. Maybe tomorrow.
You don't take chances with someone else's $15M plane.

 

Well its 6 days now. Im feeling a little better but it still difficult. If Ive been mr grump this week I apologise.

last Monday my best buddy died in the road at the side of his motorcycle in Thailand, he was coming back from his usual Monday morning shopping at Tescos.

My other mate john was in his car in front of him, he saw a Thai kid just pull out infront of Ken on another bike in his rear view mirror. Ken had not a second _bang- up in the air and landed face down he layed in the road with helmet still on and died while the kid stood over him.

This was a London bus driver 65 and had a Yamaha 1100 in London till it was stolen off him. His Honda Phantom 200cc was his transport and did 1000's of miles a year.

This is the guy I phone when Im driving up through Thailand from Malaysia.

I am fking gutted.

Its better now, a little. Please don't post how sorry you are --you dont know him.
This is for me, I want to write it in words and read it, because I still cant believe he has gone.

I wonder what is it that makes two people meet and just become friends for life. It is not something that cross one's path every day, if you're lucky maybe once, maybe twice in a life time.

I lost my soul buddy also to a bike accident. He drove into a tractor and trailer in the road without lights one night after leaving from my place, and then a woman in a truck drove over him. There wasn't a day we didn't visit or at least phone one another. It felt like part of you has departed, still feels like it, and it is now many years later.

I sold my last bike after making a 20 minute trip in 7 minutes. I shook like a leaf in disbelief that any one can be so stupid to drive like that, and in dense trafic too.

So I decided to take up the slower things in life, slower boats, slower cars, slower women, sail longer, have longer sex, drive slower - and enjoy everything I do for longer.

I think that must be my new years res - to listen to others longer and more of the hear what they actually say. That and get the figgin boat on the water.
