What have you done this weekend...?

Not so good for the Walrus I'm afraid, mourned my recently departed Mother (buried her Wednesday - which explains my absence for a wee while)

sorry ta hear that safeyz,,,,me and the families thoughts are with ya.

Thans for that theone -much appreciated

Sorry Wally. Not nice to let someone go.

You know, I'm always wondering what's on the other side. Nobody comes back, so it may well be a very nice place, could be they don't want to come back. You know. Nice boats, big end plentyfull fish that doesn't tire when you catch them... Woman that NEVER says NO :D There's got to be SOME kind of incentive. I cannot sing and I don't play the harp.

Mr Walrus, My sympathies.....

Sincere condolences Mike. I've been there, having lost both parents so I know how it must be. Our thoughts are with you mate.

OK guys back in the world thanks for your thoughts, now lets go talk about boats.......................and beer!

There, everything is starting all over again :D

Slow down Wynand, at this rate you're extincting them ;)

shhhhhhhhh Fanie,,,,at this rate he SHOULD have enough to send all of us some,,hehe :P:D;) <<HINT hint :D

Never heard of a Nortje that would hand out biltong

At an earlier time in history I would have come down there and helped you eat it (washing down with a few tinnies of course) but since some daft bugger told the 'Phils' they was human (which is one hell of a lie) the place has gone down hill - 'seperate development' worked! Phew that'll get a few going eh!!

Winand and all,
This weekend I'm on board good old 'Marie' with two of my children and a friend of them. We have been fishing and then cooking for dinner what we fished. I smoked some mackerels that were delicious. I'm on board now at the marina (wonderful, this wireless internet thingy, isn't it?), while the kids went to the breakwater to try to get some squids. It's quarter to midnight and wind is calming down. Some sparkling Galician wine went down my throat jointly with mackerels, so I'm in a perfect mood now. What else can one ask for?

Tomorrow morning we will take part in a fishing tournament at a local Club. Probably we will get the very last position, as competitors are salty experienced fishermen, but who cares? Another wonderfdul day waiting for us. Life should be always like this!

Warmest (hic!) regards everybody!

(On the sad side: I'm sorry for your mom, Mike. My condolencies to you)

Guillermo, that sounds like the perfect weekend my friend, I'm happy for you. Enjoy the rest of it! Nice wine and fresh out of the sea and into the pan mackerel mmmmmmm heaven

(thanks for the condolences -after the last couple of years she's in better place - no more pain. The rest of us, we'll have to get on with it -time does wonders, eventually)
