Actually the US has military bases in nearly every country it has invaded. I'm sure there are a few places entered and then abandoned but for the most part the US has a military presents in all.

I'm not trying to make a contest of it; I was pointing out that you're putting entirely too much emphasis on your ancestry. You're carrying on like it gives you some sort of special insight and knowledge, and a right to speak of history that the rest of us don't have. The fact is that you aren't the only one with Indian blood, you aren't the only one who reads history (I was doing it before you were born), and you don't need to work so hard at being an Indian.

Put a sock in it, mas. Words have different meanings in different times and places. And I don't know anyone around here who's 'deeply offended' by being called an American Indian.

As a matter of fact, the Morongo Reservation is about thirty miles from my house. If you go to their website, the very first sentence is, 'Welcome to the Sovereign Nation of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.'

The Soboba tribe's website is copyrighted by the 'Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians;' they're about fifteen miles from my home.

About thirty miles the other direction is the Pechanga Reservation. On their website, they refer to themselves as 'the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians.'

In other words, none of the Indian tribes around here are 'offended' by being called Indians; they proudly use the term themselves.
