The graph above shows the temperature changes of the lower troposphere from the surface up to about 8 km as determined from the average of two analyses of satellite data. The UAH analysis is from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the RSS analysis is from Remote Sensing Systems. The two analyses use different methods to adjust for factors such as orbital decay and inter-satellite difference. The best fit line from January 2002 indicates a declining trend. Surface temperature data is contaminated by the effects of urban development. The Sun's activity, which was increasing through most of the 20th century, has recently become quiet, causing a change of trend. The green line shows the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere, as measured at Mauna Loa, Hawaii. The ripple effect in the CO2 curve is due to the seasonal changes in biomass. There is a far greater land area in the northern hemisphere than the south that is affected by seasons. During the Northern hemisphere summer there is a large uptake of CO2 from plants growing causing a drop in the atmospheric CO2 concentration.

Cool periods in 1984 and 1992 were caused by the El Chichon and Pinatubo volcanic eruptions. The temperature spike in 1998 was cause by a strong El Nino.

Natural climate change is much stronger than any effect from carbon dioxide.

The graph shows a correlation between the solar irradiance and the Northern Hemisphere temperatures since 1600. The temperatures to 1850 were derived from proxy records. The temperature curve is from surface temperature record from 1850 to 1980, and from satellite lower troposphere record from 1980. The surface temperature record is contaminated by the effects of urban development. Black soot aerosols have contributed to a portion of the recent warming. Two solar irradiance proxy reconstructions are shown.

Note the low solar activity periods occurring during the Maunder Minimum (1645–1715, the Little Ice Age) and during the Dalton Minimum (1795–1825).

The graph shows that changes in solar activity are the primary cause of climate change.

How nice for you, Marco. You've found a bunch of talking points collected together in one spot. All you have to do is cut and paste; no thinking required. You can find the same sort of prepackaged, pre-digested talking points on creationism sites, anti-ozone hole sites, tobacco sites, 9/11 conspiracy sites, etc.

And like the rest of them, it's all bs. Some of those 'myths' don't exist, except as straw men set up by deniers specifically to be debunked. For example, I've never seen anyone claim CO2 is 'the most common' greenhouse gas. So in the real world, that 'myth' doesn't need to be debunked. Some of the talking points are just dead wrong, and others are making iffy claims.

But hey-- why let the facts get in the way of a good argument....

Ok this is a blatant lie

Records show a clear and unprecedented increase in global temp

    Wrong again mate

Records clearly indicate a turn around in temp trends during the last interglacial age

Boston, you forgot to say RAPID !
In just two more years Australia's average temperatuyre will go to 50C. Rain will be a thing of the past, no more winter and the lower Blue Mountains are going to be the new water front estates. Special charter ship will shift population to Antarctica in order to survive the summer.
True! You don't believe it ?
    YOU DENIER!

This is how I see the evidence for human induced climate change

...yep, pollution, that is our biggest problem, caused by too many people.....

Now I'd appreciate if some of the AGW supporters here could answer to me a couple of simple questions.
You should answer, as you should make it clear what is the rationale behind your assertions and also because you do not want us to think you are avoiding to do it, do you?

I'll put them in a Questions-Answers form, to make it as easy as possible.

Question 1: What do you consider as the underlying rising trend during the last 160 years of recorded data due to the coming out of the LIA?

    Answer 1:

Question 2: What is the period you want to choose (cherrypick freely, please) within the last 160 years to defend warming has been unprecedent and due to anthropogenic CO2?

    Answer 2:

We'll work on that. Thanks in advance. :)

This 2009 paper is also interesting:

THE DECADAL FLUCTUATIONS IN THE EARTH’S ROTATION
    AND IN THE CLIMATE CHARACTERISTICS

    irgeo@ozemail.com.au

    http://syrte.obspm.fr/jsr/journees2008/Sidorenkov.pdf

It shows close correlations between the decades-long variations in the length of the day (LOD), variations in the rate of the westward drift of the geomagnetic eccentric dipole, and variations in some key climate parameters i.e. anomalies in the type of the atmospheric circulation, the hemisphere-averaged air temperature, the increments of the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheet masses, and the PDO.

    Authors say:
"From the empirical data, we argue that there is compelling evidence to support the idea that these correlations are due to a spin-orbit coupling between the Earth’s rotation rate and its motion (that it shares with the Sun) about the barycentre of the solar system."

Another support to the position defending recent times climatic changes have rather a predominant extratrerrestrial cause.

    Oh what a weekend!
Saturday we had the pleasure to take away 15 seats from the current Pseudo Comunist governemt and make them lose representation. We still have not formed government but there are still 2 millon votes to be counted. The referendum between the pie eater and the pie makers is a close one but I am confident. We will soon be able to go back to work and away from the hand out and the mismanagement.
USA you are next. Get steel capped boots and boot that clown out for goodness sake!
