I'll tell you what: you pray for enlightenment, and I'll listen to the scientists. We'll see who comes up with more usable information.

The fact of the matter is that scientists have rather thoroughly shown that global warming is anthropogenic. Fervently denying it isn't going to change the facts.

and thats the basic flaw in the deniers diatribe

    science seldom does "proof"

what science does is look at a preponderance of evidence and decide what is more likely and what is less

in the case of Rapid Global Climate Shift the vast majority of evidence is in support of the theory

Off the track, just curious on a word here; "aginum" The only explenation for that (that I find) is an old spelling form for a place in France...?
But I'd guess that the meaning is that we go in all directions/ disagree etc, am I right?
In Norwegian we hava a saying; "som å bera sprikandes staur", That again is like trying to carry a number of fence sticks (round, crude cut)...:p

    Troy, they will not listen....

Its a conspiracy, when its something that will lead to a change our behaviour/ sense of freedom (to choose).

Its not a conspiracy, when its something that will let us live our life as usual, (New car, caviar, think i'll buy me a football team..) and not lead to a change our behaviour/ sense of freedom (to choose).
    ;)

I don't know where you saw it, but the writer probably meant "agin 'em." That's how some people would say "against them."

    Well done, Knut.
It was a pun meaning "Sometimes we are for them and sometimes we are against them."

    Thanks for the Norwegian proverb.

Are you women still arguing over this...?

My goodness... I'll never retire. It'sthe retirement that turns men into nagging old women.

And not a word about boats either...

You can stop feeling bad, Hoyt: I remember now. You said something about 'forum and aginum.'

See, the obsolete microprocessor under my hat still works. It's just a little slow retrieving data sometimes. Too many gigs of memory, and not enough ram to process it in a timely fashion....;)
