What are Proas, and why are they special?

    No my friend, time to sail! My new Proa is in Greece waiting for spring to head west and go far...
    Great boat, Crystal Clear is fast and very safe we got caught in a gale at night in the Northern Aegean, we were flying 60 Miles went astern in under 6 hours!
    A great sail, big waves a dark night and me steering and dozing on the helm...
    We had a good run 200 Miles in 30 hours, Istanbul to Limnos Greece, We exited the Dardanelles and sailed straight into a gale, flying at 10t Knots, surfing at 15 and I'm sleeping on the helm in a dark night... Amazing! Nothing surfs like a Proa...

    It took a decade and a half to understand shunters... Well, they are a special breed, a very seaworthy breed.

    Thank you for the good energy...
    Proas are amazing, very strong, and could be very safe if properly designed, A strange bird, as strong as a mono, yet as fast as a multi...
