Ship stabiliser to reduce rolling

I am a lecturer in marine engineering subjects at training institute in Calcutta, India. My students are marine engineer officers who are preparing to take their higher grade certificate examinations.

The following questions were asked in an examination:

(a) state the different types of stabilisers and how they work
(b) describe, using simple force diagrams, how the stabilising force is achieved by a dynamic stabiliser system with the ship moving ahead with fins extended and tilted

Can anyone help me with the answers?
