    4) Karibuni Pinel
    5) Timbalero(G4)
    6) Tocata
    7) GC32
    ====
    B)-(frm SA)-sail times :
    Mod70 sailtime approx: 1 h 54 min
    Paradox sailtime approx: 2 h 30 min
    G4 sailtime approx: 3 h 02 min
    G62 sailtime approx: 3 h 28 min
    Tri40 sailtime approx: 3 h 37 min
    GC32 sailtime approx: 3 h 40 min
    G55 sailtime approx: 4 h 18 min

Looked like better conditions ??..... Mod70 sets a speed record at the 42 mile (nautical?) course .This is clearly fast for the G4 isnt it? The average is 14knots for G4. And about 22 for Mod70. The GC32 make it around too behind the G4-surprising to me(dl).

    Nice Owen

Do you know if the MOD 70 does the same course as the maxi monos?

The G4 may look interesting but a powerful Irens based tri is still up there at the top for me. Smokin!

    Cheers

I believe the Maxi monos and multis do the same course. They might stagger the starts a little I'm not sure but the line seems to be clear for each start.

Paul Larsen did a nice write up of sailing onboard Paradox. They lack a bit of horsepower versus Phaedo but the recent upgrades have upped the performance considerably.

    Attempting Turn Downwind?

At that frozen frame on the 'introduction photo to the video' (not the 1:59 frame I referenced earlier), it does appear as though the helmsman is trying to turn starboard, downwind, which would be correct to try to prevent capsize. (appears to be approx 0:42 to 0:48 time frames)

Just looking at wake from starboard rudder, but then again the rudders on this vessel are a bit different than usual, so need a magnified image.

Can anyone magnify that image and determine rudder inclination??

This has now been discussed in more detail in that other thread.
