The 300 mile Everglade's Challenge and 1200 mile Ultimate Florida Challenge is fast approaching and the boats and crews are getting ready.

After seeing this boat I could only believe that if there was a "Most Innovative Boat" Award then "Teak" should get it!

yeah, sure, Randy Smyth's Sizzors is really cool too, but he's been working on it for several years now, I give him a second place.

    So who's to get third?
I wish my boat was in the running, maybe next year ......

I guess something is wrong with my eyes. Where is the innovation? Only thing I see is the powerboat seats facing forward. These may be jettisoned in the first big blow.

that is a cute little boat! and the watertribers come up with some interesting craft, but better than just "designs" these get proven in a hardcore way!

I especially like the xrt sailing canoe further down the page using two hobie sails, a TI up front and an AI behind it.

there is a guy putting together a PDR for the EC so he get the "Crazy" boat award!

hey bad dog, I think you're gonna like my "Bad Kitty" design ....

Not like there is anything new about building mirage drives into dory shaped hulls.

Ok ThomD, so who's your nomination for this award? and we kinda refined the requirements a bit on the wt forum, you're a nominee if you start, but like all races you gotta finish to win. Are you entered this year? I was hoping to, dang it all, so I gotta shoot for next year. I am working on a boat design though and hopefully prove my concept in the 2013 EC and punish it well in the 2014 UFC. Who else is in? You can talk boats, you can design boats but who's gonna go and prove their boat?
