Locks on American rivers

    Are the procedures for travailing through locks on U.S. rivers standardized and where should I look to find those rules and procedures. Thank you, Stan

    I have done all the locks on the Mississippi/ Great Lakes and Hudson, etc. They are free to recreational traffic. There is a minimum size in many(no canoes).
