    Hi!!

I found a free software with a nice GUI related to propeller design by use of vortex lattice method..

What kind of application could I do for a thesis??

I can compare it with other methods ( lerbs, numerical optimization of circulation) or apply it on practical problems..

    Any ideas??

    Yhanks

    Just a few ideas...

    1. Verify that the induced drag is calculated accurately.

    2. How does the pressure vary as you move closer and closer to the tips of the blades? Vortex lattice methods are known to have difficulties with wings that have curved planforms.

    3. If the program assumes that the blades are infinitely thin, how well can it predict the leading-edge suction on each blade?

    Good luck with your studies!
    Leo.
