Does anyone here have any experience with or knowledge of weight equalization systems by themselves or combined with righting moment equalization in any kind of small sailboat? How well they work; how they work etc....
    Any information would be helpful--thanks!

I don't know that you'll ever get a effective evaluation of how well they work... The majority of classes that were using it in the UK are to an extent going out of fashion or even dying off completely. Its interesting that the somewhat half hearted system used by the 49er was eventually dropped. Frank Bethwaite did do quite a bit of research on the way it was working in the 49er, but a have a vague memory that the results were somewhat inconclusive and didn't match up with what the sailors thought. However in several cases it worked extremely well within the minds of the folk sailing the boats, which is probably the most important place...
