Back in the late 50's {yipes!} I helped produce a wood 'Inverted Vee' sport boat. Built from Birch aircraft and marine plywood and skinned in glass, it had a shallow inverted V-tunnel merging to a shallow ‘normal’ vee at the transom. The chines ran full length to control skipping, and they carried a lot of outboard HP for their size.
This shop was "Built Rite Boats" - and also produced some fine hand built sailboats, also wood.
Location: the Santa Monica, California area, and we launched new models for test using the crane at the end of Santa Monica pier.
Do you have any history, contacts, or way to get more information?
I'm looking for plans, photos, or ? ? to be used in a new project of mine.
Thanks in advance. Mike LeDuc, Valparaiso, Indiana
