Substituting shaft types

Discussion in 'Materials' started by Igor Kaputnik, Dec 16, 2004.

  1. My plans call for a shaft of aquamet 19, but I want to use something stronger, such as aqauloy 22. I cant imagine there would be an issue using a stronger shaft but I figured I should find out for sure. What are thoughts of the group??

    Thanks
    Igor

Just email the manufacturer with your requirements and check, should be ok. Be aware that the materials get harder but more brittle with the higher numbers so you can't always simply swap materials.

You will find both Aqualloy and Aquamet on the web.
