Just because you're unemployed, it doesn't mean that you're out of work,
Daniel Mullin
True. But you are out of sick days and vacation time and insurance and you can't tell the boss to go stuff themselves. I kinda miss that - just a little. I'm unemployed to the tune of about 40-50 hours a week at the rv park where I'm staying. And I haven't taken a week off in two years. I'm having a great time. Pease come visit.
Funny story - When I arrived here because the place I was staying at was shutting down for the winter season, the office gal said "Oh good, you're here. When can you start? The owner has a bunch of stuff that needs doing".
Which struck me as a bit odd since I was basically a walk-in. Rollin' with the flow, I said "In a couple hours, I guess, just let me get unhooked."
So I'm working on a bad power pedestal about four hours later when this other fellow shows up at the office and says "I'm here about the work camper job."
Alas, the position had been filled.
The office gal and I still joke with each other about that.
