Just installed a Marine Air 12K BTU unit. Reverse cycle heat pump type, 110V on my Bertram.
The compressor kicks on, while heating but doesn't during "cool" air conditioning...
    Any Ideas/suggestions?
    Thanks..

There usually is a microprocessor with temp sensors both inside and outside.
Since the unit works while heating, I guess the brain decides the situation isn't suitable for cooling because the outside temp is too low.

Check functionality of the reversing valve and low pressure switch.

Remote tstat incorrectly wired or faulty tstat or faulty wiring? Check all the little DIP switch settings on the Tstat. Check to see if the reversing valve is reversing. Try wirenutting the tstat wires to test the Cool without the tstat. How many tstat wires? What colors?
