Hi, can anyone identify this sailboat. It around 24ft in length. It's got aboat 5ft 10 headroom. I can't find a HIN. It's got fairly long fin keel and skeg hung rudder. And overhangs. And it is supposedly built in 1983

Might she be a T 24, designed by Guy Thompson?
There is some basic info about this boat on Sailboat Data.
    THOMPSON 24 - sailboatdata https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/thompson-24/

A pal of mine in England had a T 24 many years ago, and there used to be a T 31 living here in the 70's.

If you do a search on the YBW Forum it brings up a few mentions of the T 24.
I found this post in a search.

Here is her bigger sister, the T 31

I think that Robbie's boat was probably built in the 70's rather than 1983.

I don't think it's a T24. As far as I can see the T24 has no locker behind the cockpit. Has a longer waterline. A shorter keel and uses keel bolts. The Unknown boat has encapsulated ballast and overhangs both ends, with about 18ft waterline. But I think you might be right about the boat being older then 1983

Ai is saying that the K means the boat was built in UK. And the number is the number of hulls that are built. But if there is 3415 hulls built why is it so hard to identify it.

I wonder if there might be JOG connection, the K prefix hints at some form of official link and it looks too moderate a concept to be an early quarter tonner.

    gggGuest ...

    Because AI is talking bollox.
The National letters refer to the National authority the boat is subject to, not where it was built, and in the case of RYA allocated 4 digit plus letter suffix numbers there are just a few series which don't particularly relate to design. I don't know if there's any significance to T suffic as opposed to L or N, but M is multiulls.
