UliTank_2.0 available

The new version of UliTank can now also predict the resistance of heeled models. The database was further increased by including the tank data of the US Sailing Nine Models Series. The program can be downloaded at:

This version was only tested with windows 10, it might not run under older OS.

Linker error

I just realized that a DLL was not linked into the executable.
The error is now corrected.
If you have already downloaded the zip-file, please do it again.
I also run it successfully under Windows Vista.

Update UliTank_2.1 available

An e-mail exchange with J. den Ouden from TU Delft revealed that the measured resistance from the towing tank was not corrected for the blockage effect. The new version UliTank_2.1 takes the effect of blockage and restricted depth in the towing tank into account. The predicted resistance values are now valid for unrestricted waters of infinite depth. The applied correction can be as large as 10%.

Nice! Thank you, I downloaded UliTank_2.1. I once tried to get to know the dimensions of the Delft tank, but never got an answer. Do you now know the dimensions?

Update UliTank_2.2 available

The new update covers bare and appended sailing yacht hulls in heeled and upright condition without leeway. The resistance prediction is now based on approx. 250 independent tank test runs at each Froude-number. This is the largest regression analysis in the open literature and the software is free!
Please let me know, if this resistance prediction is helpful for your work. Proposals for changes in the output are also welcome.

I built the executable with the Intel-compiler for Windows. This application will most likely not run under OS X. Sorry.
