Ok .. I've down loaded the two sheet gorewood canoe.
    And ....???
I do not know how to read it.
The numbers mean nothing to me.
Doesn't anyone have plans to scale ? Just trace them off ??
I would very much appreciate some help on this.

That pdf is to scale. You need to loft the lines or go to a printing place where they can print them full size, which is quite expensive.

    Anyone here build one?
Yes, sort of. 20 years ago I built a Stillwater Dusk tortured plywood canoe which is similar and to some extent that design might have been one of the designs that were Stefan's inspiration to design the gorewood canoes. He improved on the approach by adding more gores and a healthy dose of genius.

Looking at "gorewood_14_canoe_-_offsets" The plywood sheets are 122 mm x 244 mm. On the offsetts for cut lines the numbers along the side are mm from the end. The numbers between the arrows are mm from the center of the sheet to the edge of the piece you are cutting out. Gorewood 16 shows the panels nested top edge to top edge. The dimensions are given for one quarter of the boat only, since the other three pieces are identical. The gores are located in another figure the same way. The exact angle of the gores isn't too critical.

Just get a roll of kraft paper and start measuring and marking. You should soon see a similar figure on your paper, and if not, flip it over and try again on the other side. The more difficult problem is going to be finding a good source of marine grade okoume plywood in Missouri. Flo mo used some poplar door skins or some such and ran into some difficulties with the quality of the plywood. Get the good stuff. Marine Okoume is light weight and bends nicely. Meranti is rather stiff for these canoes, and heavier.
