Outboard conversions seem to be increasing . . . I am a member on a FaceBook "Inboard to Outboard Conversions" group and new conversions are being posted almost on a daily basis.
Of late there is a Formula 400 SS converted to 3 Yamaha 350 (V8) outboards, a Chaparral 29 to twin Honda 250's, a Monterey 30 to twins, among others. . . I think the trend is when the I/O engines get tired, the outboard conversion option becomes top of mind.
Anyway . . . my project is nearing its end (hopefully ), So I've updated my project plan accordingly, which I'll share for those interested.

I hope to be launching the boat within the next few weeks.
A few part shortages have delayed things, but now moving forward. The engines are mounted and the height and fit look good. The ventilation plate will be about 1" up from the planing surface and the engines should tilt out of the water while on the mooring.
