    Thank you keysdisease, I have been looking at the link you sent its full of info. If I'm not mistaken the the shift is made mechanically or hydraulically. My little brain is bursting with trying to take in stuff I looked for for ages and could not find till I joined this forum.

    Shifting in the installation shown is made mechanically in the outdrive legs just like any outboard or inboard/outboard.
