Boat manufacturers use all their skills and the latest technology to provide boat owners with the products they desire. For this, it is crucial to gain more information on the usage phase of the boats. Hence, boat builders are now developing technologies which allow them to capture important data about the usage phase of their boats and feed it back into the design and manufacturing.

A project has been started with the University of Bremen, the aim of which is to implement an individual profile for a leisure boat in a social network. This will be a digital representation of the boat which includes basic information like manuals, records of service and othertechnical data which is transmitted regularly from the boat. It will offer additional features such as an automated trip log, the ability to upload photos and to share certain information with friends and family. The boat owner will of course determine which information is made available to whom.

To test our assumptions we need your opinion!

It would be much appreciated if you could take a few minutes of your time, follow the link below and answer some questions on your expectation for and thoughts on the concept!
