Agree - let's please keep the discussion threads in English which is the language forum members have in common. Otherwise it would be too confusing if threads started containing posts in many different languages. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi mate: I designed and built many trawlers, have not long refitted 2 trawlers for pleasure boats, a fairly straight forward job if you know what you are doing and intended purpose of use
let me know what your ideas are and I will look in the plan box.
most of the plans were hand drawn, but have a few in cad.
I designed and built 2-15m trawler type boats for Americas cup fremantle
one is in Sydney the other in Gold Coast, the latter did an around the world circumnavigation.

    Hi All,
In the message it has been written “Trawler design” not “Fishing trawler”. I think that „Fishing trawler” sounds ridiculously - in a literal translation it to signify „Fishing boat for fishing”.

    Hi Rabah,

That's not the message, it's the thread title that reads: ‘‘Trawler Design’’

For info: the thread title does not contain the whole message, that's where the posts are for . .

The clarifying message from the OP in post #3 is: ‘‘I mean that I need a fishing trawler design, not a leisure craft design.’’

P.S. - Fishing Trawler - I'll go with the info in the below quote, and there's also much info for b1ck0 on the linked website . .

    Hi Angélique,
The word trawl has two value.
But you are right - your explanation is more precise. But I think that Vasil already has understood where can find that searches on the reasonable price.

what type of trawl will it be equipped with ?. Or what species is the target ?. Single trawl ? Double trawl. Pair trawl ?. Midwater trawl ?. Bottom trawl ? I designed and built many myself. Almost every type of trawler is designed to work differently. And different designs for different environments and locations. We need to know the intended trawl dimensions and type of trawls to calculate the needed horsepower. How long this trawler will be at sea, and the weather intended to work the trawler. Approximate size, hull material, .... there is many factors that hav to be calculated to design a safe , efficient and productive vessel. . We need as many details as possible

    Thanks Rabah [IMG]

I think you're right, the post #1 and #3 questions have been fairly answered by now, but there's a chance this topic turns into a subject thread and our forum buddies, and maybe ourselves, carry on a bit about it . . :)

    Sincerely,

    Hi friends,
As far as I fathom author of treads / with Bulgarian name / wants to give the exact advice to the friends for the purchase of the ready present project for construction of fishing trawler. That is he will select from several projects that which most close up to needs of his friends. But for this purpose first of all he should learn all about trawler ships, that`s all components eventual tasks whether it be he is the customer of the classification project. It is completely not easy, very responsible, but without it it`s impossible.

Rabah, I know you're just trying to help but I do not understand why the OP can not express itself and you must do it on his behalf. So far he has done very well and we are all understanding what he wants. Frankly, imo, he will get better help if he is the interlocutor.

TANSL, I fail see your point, the OP can jump in anytime he wants and be our interlocutor as anyone else, I don't see anyone speaking for him, there's just expressing an on topic opinion and giving relevant advice.

Angelique, I do not have to expect you to agree with my opinion, but when Rabah says, referring to OP, "...he will select from several projects that most close up to needs of his friends...", I do not understand why he has to explain to us what are the intentions of the OP.
Precisely, as you say, I believe that it is the OP who must be our interlocutor, the one who tells us, if he wants, what his intentions are and why he asks the things he asks. I guess he does not need a spokesperson to participate in this forum. But maybe I misunderstood and I'm mistaken.

    Hi TANSL,

I've read that as an summary of the foregoing to make clear what his following point is about, think you're a little patronising about what and how to post here.

Angélique, do not you think you're doing the same thing you criticize in me?.
For my part, this exchange of views between you and me, ends here.
    Cheers.

I had an idea about the configuration just didn't know the exact name of it. While I was exploring the www and all class rules for fishing vessels I found a design which I really like:

    http://products.damen.com/en/ranges/sea-fisher/sea-fisher-2007-stern-trawler

I posted my question in the forum because I was not sure how the internal arrangement of such a small boat would look like.

    Hi b1ck0,
Usually the choice of prototypes, whose main sizes and weighting characteristics will be used in the new project and classification organization on which the classification project for the coordination and approval will be submitted, is engagement of the designer at making of offer for the contract with the client.
The information for prototypes is without delay necessary for the customer only for registration of a technically competent, faultless, clear and precise task for designing.
