What exactly might be believable in that steaming pile, other than the fact he hit the committe boat? The picture says it all, and none of it's pretty.

What I'm trying to figure out is how dumb is Mighetto. Tripp Gal's husband comes on and made it pretty clear to all that it's got to stop, but ole Frank there continue to twang that one-stringed banjo for all it's worth. Good luck in life Migghie, seems like your sunset is coming soon.

Actually Frank, the picture was taken at the first start of the evening. You were stalled in front of the starting line with boats from S and H classes trying to dodge you as they started. We were above Strider and well below NJ and neither was "hunting" you. NJ never even came close.

As for starting with the VHF in the future, you obviously know something no one else does. The RRS are silent on the subject and our Fall Series races are not Category III.

For the rest, the only part that's believable is that you hit the RC boat.

I have never seen such garbage as Frank spews continuously. I am sure that Frank is an insignifacant speck in the water to Tripp Gal. What I see in the pictures is a boat stalled in the water trying to get their sails set. Hunting? In your dreams!

Frank, you run around spouting racing rules like you were Dick Rose and you can't even recognize a simple port/starboard situation. Get off the water pal, you're a danger to yourself, your crew, and everyone else on the water.

"Get off the water pal, you're a danger to yourself, your crew, and everyone else on the water." Hmm...no, but Frank should definately read up a bit on boating before he kills someone.

I wasn't there, but what I see in this picture is an idiot turned into the wind in front of a bunch of other boats racing in the same direction because he discovered his tender boat needed to be reefed. Note the crew at the mainsail tack and clew and the partially furled jib.

About as smart as an idiot who stops and turns his car sideways in the middle of the interstate and claims the other cars trying to dodge his are "hunting" him.

Let me explain what you are seeing in the photo.
Some idiot in a M26X is in the middle of a start of a class in which
he doesn't belong, in irons, trying to hail the comittee boat to ask
how much time until his start because he can't understand how to
correlate his watch to the starting sequence as outlined in the Notice of Race
and the Rules (same as every week).
:p :D

now now

Marc,

Give it up. Go sailing. That is what I am doing.

As a mater of fact Dick Rose has helped me a lot already. I am a danger only to those who fear the truth. Be happy. the truth will save all US sailors. But now I get to tell you that the TP52 promoter Jim Teeters himself is also the man behind the Velocity Prediction Program (VPP) used by PHRF-NW to anger all those who would be racing with an appropriate rating other wise. This is probably Tripp Gal's favorite tool. Perhaps she was the one waisting our money purchasing it. Let me get back to the Triump show. But do some research on Teeters, US sailing and ratings. This man and Trip Gal are holding US Sailors back big time - not just those of us in POS Macs :)

Oh - I understand there is chatter about the 48 north. Please leave the good folks on the MacGregor board alone. In fact please leave the designers and builders here alone. Google South Sound Sailing Society, see if you can log in and discuss this with me there. If you can't log in, well strike a deal with Hear No Evil See No Evil (HNESNE) AKA Roll Tacker or Mike Visser.

You know I have learned that folks in the 20 to 30 year age range all hate eachother. What is with that? Hate me instead :) Did Suidie Parker really threaten to sue the state of washington?

Do they know that by agreeing to race they have agreed to arbitration as per the Racing Rules of Sailing. We are not a sport where you have to have a team of legals to discuss what happens on the race course.

I'm working on my boats this weekend.

I have a Cal-25 I need to write up a classified ad to post online,
and once it is off my trailer I will haul my San Juan 24.

I'm refinishing the tiller and working on building a
12-gage naval cannon replica to put on the bow for
Pirate Night at the Duck Dodge next year.

BTW, you really would do well to crew with people
who have offered and to take lots of notes.

Getting near the start when other classes are starting
is very poor ettiquette. In some races it is grounds for disqualification.
You need to realize that the Rules of Sailing (RRS) are only in effect
to the extent that the race organizers state that they are in the
notice of race, and can be modified in any way they deem appropriate
by including changes in the race instructions. I'm sure membership
in ISAF could limit this to some extent, but in general each race
is essentially a private event.

Also, using power propulsion within 5 minutes of your start
is grounds for protest. If you spin the propellor you must
wait 5 minutes from when you stop motoring before
you are allowed to start. Starting before the 5 minutes elapse
is the same as being over the line early, and you must go back
and restart (no 720° penalty will satisfy the infraction).

ya know frank, if you had not already established your reputation, some of that stuff might be believable. most, of course, is pure frank babble. you sound a little like ignatius batlling the confederacy of dunces.

Yea I know. When you are running for an office, you have to have a thick skin. I often feel like I have been marginalized. Then some one asks me to take on a new project - like getting the wireless operating at Swantown. Apparently a couple of Port Commissioners were contacted about not bringing it up. I do not blame Sudie Parker for this - it isn't my battle. If Sudie Parker is serious about the sailing sport she will resign from PHRF as a rater for at least a couple of years. I think she is serious about covering up wrong doing. Wrong doing related to her starting of the Future of Yacht Design Thread on Sailing Anarchy.

Any way - you will have to enterain yourselves without me for at least a day or two. We will be either at Hope Island or MicMickan. I have a great story to tell about the WSP and Tripp Gal and the Port of Olympia and the Olympia Police department. The Gal and her hubby are real works of art. I estimate there has been about $30,000 worth of tax payer money's now waisted on their complaint to the AGs office which appearently was rejected out of hand.

Good information. This can be a great sport. Those of us who live in Seattle really took a hit with that last Americas Cup. There will be no recovery from that. Sailing will be dirty in Seattle for at least two more decades. (In the eyes of the press and public). There is real hope in our area for Olympia and Tacoma. I do not intent to let the bad apples spoil the rest of South Puget Sound. Well Well 6 crew members have arived. If it involves a boat it is never work :)

Nothing has changed.
You haven't been sailing long enough to know what sailing is like.

You are like a kid who hears about sex from his older brother
and then tries to teach it to his grade skool teacher so that
she can explain it to the rest of the class. When she doesn't,
the kid starts teaching during ecess.

Problem is you're the least knowledgeable in the class, and
from the mangled facts you spout off, everyone ends up concluding
you're homo.

Mr. Mighetto,
My wife has asked you multiple times to leave her alone. I am now telling you to leave her alone. I am no longer in the mood to tolerate your defamation of a person which while you were at the computer making libelous statements against other sailors was giving her time and resources to help other people get out on the water and enjoy sailing.

If you stop posting, this matter will be dropped. If you choose to continue your current destructive course of behaviour then let me be very clear I will pursue legal action against you.

In case you are unclear as to the legal grounds:
Defamation is: An act of communication that causes someone to be shamed, ridiculed, held in contempt, lowered in the estimation of the community, or to lose employment status or earnings or otherwise suffer a damaged reputation. Such defamation is couched in 'defamatory language'. Libel and slander are defamation.

The elements that must be proved to establish defamation are: (1) A publication to one other than the person defamed; (2) of a false statement of fact; (3) which is understood as being of and concerning the plaintiff; and (4) which is understood in such a way as to tend to harm the reputation of plaintiff.

You have made accusations. It is now time to see those accusations have their day in court. You are not acting in the capacity of a board member and you do not have board of directors insurance on which to fall back. You have crossed a line that has consequences.

As for your using government resources to defame people. I am reporting this to the attorney general for the state of washington. We will ask for an AGO opinion about the use of government resources by a contractor to defam people. We will also ask for the AGO opinion on whether the state should be paying for hours billed while you spend your time on the Internet. I do hope you have it in writing in your contract that you can abuse your use of the Internet while on government networks because we are going to find out the hard way now.

Fee Fi Fo Fum I smell the stench of a "little" man. The kind of guy that looses one ball when his wife will not take his name in marrage and the other when she sets up separate bank accounts. Do I not knowingly post falshood. You may of course correct me. :) Or just consider it entertainment. Hey mark - whats wrong with being a homo?

Tripp Guy. Your wife needs attention right now. Give it to her, use your fast powers of persuation and sailors wit (yea you ain't got one) to see that she needs to just get out of the way.

The link from Tripp Gal's morbid fascination with the Mac26x and her blind support of Jim Teeters is well established on the public Internet record. As a PHRF NW rater she has perpetuated the myth that big boat racers with fixed fin keels are worthy of the maintenance costs. She does US Sailors harm by applying her Teeter Principle engineering skills that are honed through the VPP that Teeter himself developed. She makes a farce of the PHRF rating system owing to that and then she teaches crew to see falsehood. Have a nice day :)

just because you are mad because your boat sucks in reality and under PHRF handicapping doesnt mean you need to defame people using the internet.
