A picture of it in the water might be informative.

    15,000 lbs of boat,
the f350 is rated right around there.
Even the new f150's can tow 11,500 lbs.
    This shouldn't be an issue.

Most of those big campers weigh about the same also.

I'm just saying, I'd ask if there were any pictures afloat. And if not , why not?

    OK,
I talked to the guy, it is an old gun boat.
It had 2 hercules engines in it, and was used in the war.

He bought it, put a 6 cylinder perkins in it, and bolted big steel weights inside
to make it float proper without the weight of the giant engines.

He says it will do about 17 knots wide open.

The inside of the hull has no rust.
    Keel cooled.

It's been sitting for about 7 years , but he goes out and runs it once in a while.

OK I don't know, but either way, it should be a tough boat.

Anyhow, what do you guys all think?
I'm thinking this could be a great boat with a little TLC and elbow grease!

Engine is a 6 cyl perkins with 600 hours on a professional rebuild.

sitting 7 yrs is the big question mark as is the fresh paint. Paint is for making sell - but what does it need to hide?

And trailers weigh something too as does random **** you will fill your boat with - not an easy load to tow imo - though my experience there is very limited.

don't get too excited either. Its a bad state to be in when considering purchases - especially ones that can suck hundreds of hours of your time and thousands of dollars of money.

Since you've been looking for a while for a hull like this, it's worth an inspection/survey to really make an informed decision.

Looks narrow and top-heavy. Were the upper hull and cabin modified respect to the original boat? The sheer line doesn't look like military style.
