it was hard to read the legend, but I assumed it was differance. So why would the equator not warm and the arctic regions only warm up? populated areas have long been known to cause local warming, it seems if it was human activity causing the warming than the populate areas should be warming up more, not the arctic areas.

Or is there some sophistry to try and explain that one? It looks to me that the reason and the cause of climate change is still a mystery to humans.

Note that when including BOTH land AND ocean temperatures, there has subsequently been seven years with near or higher temperatures than the 1998 "high."

 

The red line indicating the 5 year mean shows temps are dropping. Care to explain(not that I trust the data after the East Anglia crap anyway)?

 

Do you mean just like the way temperatures dropped around 1990, or they way they dropped in the early 1980's and 1970's and 1960's? Or perhaps you mean like the way they dropped in the 1950's or the 1900's or the 1880's?

You might wish to review the second chart in post 594.

 

I doubt there will be any more upward trends in temps. It is going to be a cold series of winters.

It's never about saving the planet. It's about making rich people much, much richer & at the same time, impoverishing the have nots.

I would suggest that if the billions & billions of dollars that have been wasted on green projects had been spent on eliminating starvation & disease in the third word, there would no longer be a third world. Of course, that is not what the elites want. “To capture control of a nation, all that is required is to control its power centres"; this has been the strategy of Leninists and Fabians alike. Witness what the EU is doing to Greece, Spain, Italy & Ireland.
