Not surprisingly Macif was the fastest Ultime in the race and first to finish but the IDEC team kept them honest. Sodebo was well of the pace in the light conditions and Actual (the former Sodebo) was not in the same ballpark as the later designs and has lagged well behind. www.sail-world.com/155212

What do you think about next year. How strong was TV interest? Will it be repeated?

Well, there was a fair bit of coverage (not surprisingly) in the French media. International media coverage was as usual pretty limited. Not sure how often this is going to be run but could become a semi regular event for the Ultim Collective. I found it interesting that they have a size limit on the race that would seem geared towards keeping the Prince de Bretagne Maxi 80 out which seems a strange decision as the boat would not be competitive going on previous results.

Thomas Coville is also going to attempt to improve the solo record on Sodebo Ultime and is underway on his attempt, no official tracker I've seen though.

    DISTANCE PARCOURUE SUR 24H : 637.8 NM
DISTANCE AU BUT : 637.2 NM

    From the cartographie after 3d 13h 50'

That could be 10 hours faster than last Joyon record easily !

Now the tracker clock is stoped: 4 11 10 23
    15 hours less, amazing.
