Hi Sailboat Designers, thanks very much for all the great suggestions and design ideas from the last thread about looking for a 30ft. flatdeck or raised deck sailboat. The Stonehorse is a wonderful idea. Beautiful sailboat. I haven't stopped looking and I stumbled on the William Atkins website and saw the 31ft. "Wavecrest" motorsailer. Interesting sailboat. Has anybody seen one? Any pictures or opinions? Thanks very much to all who participated.

Wavecrest has a lot of internal volume and though she's fairly balanced, don't expect stellar performance from her. She'll have good manners at sea and will be a comfortable ride in a rough slosh.

There are more modern options available.

Here's another alternative...again somewhat modern underbody with traditional topsides.

I'm pretty sure that's one of PAR's designs called "Lass" - I did some searching online for info and came up with a little more info. I'm sure he'll post a design brief if asked nice.

    Specs on Wavecrest 34

    Please, Par?

I need to be convinced my long love for the Nonsuch 36 is misplaced.
