    Sadly, Ted Hood has died. No more info yet..... A biographical memorial here: http://www.tedhood.com/ In my formative years racing ,he was an inspiration and someone I greatly admired.

    Sorry to hear that news. He was quite a man, taking over all aspect of yacht design, from the bottom of the hull to the top of the mast. he was himslef a great sailor. A legend.

    Sad to hear of his loss. :( Ted designed some gorgeous yachts. At 86 though he lived a good long life and no question was proud of his accomplishments.
