Hello, I have a boat speedometer with the symbol F2K-U8245-20-00
While swimming, water got in and the cable shorted
Do you know a service that can fix this?
Or does anyone of you have such a tachometer model for sale?
Thank you for your help in advance
    Robert

Call Yamaha and ask. They have exceptional customer service. The unit in your hand looks a bit like all the smoke came out which is slang for she's fried, which is slang for it's toast which is slang for time to replace.

Hi. Not sure if you’ll see this message since your original inquiry was a year and a half ago, but did you ever get your tach repaired? Curious to know because I could use a repair service myself. I have a 2011 242 Limited which has the same exact tachometer meters as your 2010 AR240. Same part number. It works fine but the LCD screens are very sunburnt and I can no longer read it. I saw a YouTube video of a guy dismantling his down to the point of peeling the polarized film off the LCD glass and replacing it with a new piece of film and that was all that was needed to fix the issue. I can’t seem to get he black plastic backing/casing off of the unit, though. So, I either could use help removing the casing in order to get exposure and access to the circuitry, etc….or need the name of a repair company to send it out to. Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks

    Steve
