Swept back hull appendages. A thing of the past?

    Another thing to consider- how much weather helm do you have? More helm suggests more stress on flow. Also, the farther back the rudder is, the more leverage, & vice versa, so size can change.

    It has been quite normal for racing dinghies to have a sharp entry to the rudder at the waterline.Pierre Gutelle recommends something similar for centreboards,but I haven't seen too many of those.
