SWATH Wind Farm vessel

Excellent! Thanks, A.H. :)
For a swath there are several rules of thumb, but basically if the waterplane area, Aw, divided by the displacement to the power of (2/3) is less than 1.5 it is a swath. Another simple one is if Aw< 2xDispl^(2/3)
So, putting these two criteria together, the rule of thumb would be:

if
Aw/D^(2/3) < 1.5-2.0
then it is a SWATH.

P.S. - when I hear the term semi-catamaran, a monohull comes to my mind... :P

But hey those guys in sales and marketing will call anything semi-something if it gets them interest ;)

Hmm. So maybe we should start describing our stabilizer systems as being "semi-effective"? #decentengineer #lousysalesman

Happy Thanksgiving, John! ;)

Naahhh....your system is "fully-effective"..nothing semi about it at all. It is the full monty :D

Not to mention, it is all based upon facts and real science....unlike semi-swath!!!!

Enjoy your turkey :p
