Hey there, I’ve got a Halman 20 sailboat that I’ve been working on and fixing up and I’ve got some questions about the fiberglass/gelcoat. I’ll post some pictures below but there’s is some wear and tear on certain spots of the fiberglass in the cockpit and I’m wondering what’s the best way to go about repairing them so that they don’t get any worse or allow water to penetrate? Could I just fill the spots with some 5200 or Marine Tex? Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from everyone, and continuing to learn from you all!

    BlueBell . . . _ _ _ . . . _ _ _

Did the tint have UV inhibitors?
    Epoxy is terrible in sunlight.

I am not sure if my pigments and tints are billed as UV inhibiting, the white and yellow are just what I get from the fiberglass supply house. I may have just hit those spots in haste with some leftover filled resin versus pigmented. My next project is to paint some plywood that I primed with epoxy to replace a worn scaffolding deck.
