Add about 2%, but a little more won't hurt it any.

    About 2.5 to 3oz.

2% is the correct amount to a 2 qt. pot add about 40 cc's.
    about the same as mekp.
too much takes along time to evaporate and will leave it spoty and possibly crack.when it has cured fully it should look dull but still check in a non obvious spot before starting to sand .

you can also use pva to seal the gelcoat after you spray the top coat spray a film of pva over it, this way you will have a less chance of having pinholes caused by the wax sometimes small amounts of wax is traped and when you sand and buff the really show up, duratec high gloss addative is the best for a top coat just add it to the gel and it will lay on flat very little orange peel

duratec clear is good but if you are not an experienced painter you will be sanding alot of runs or sags. and partall film #10 {P.V.A. poly vinyl alcohol} could possibly do the same as wax if you spray it too soon.it can dry in mid air and hit the wet paint and put holes in it.Plus you will still wipe the part down anyway the with water and alot of rags.

    Pva

I believe the previous poster was saying that you need to wash off the PVA with water and rags. PVA is water soluble.

Newbie here but looking for information how to turn un-waxed polyester resin to waxed polyester resin.... is above 2% for resin / surface additives (e.g. #71 Styrene Wax) OR pure wax amount? Can 100% paraffin oil be used as wax?
