    We are an international search firm specializing in IT, Operations, and Professional Services (www.franklincareers.com).

    We have just been retained to help one of our clients find a Training Specialist for their facility in Charleston, SC. This is a permanent, direct hire position with our client. Our client is a $14B global leader in the manufacturing industry. We are offering a generous referral fee of $1K* should our client hire someone that you recommend to us.

    This individual will be responsible for the development of application engineering and installation training in support of new engine programs and existing platforms.

    Essential Functions:

    Input service training requirements into New Product Teams
    • Preparation of training material
    • Desktop procedures
    • Update/maintain training programs as changes occur
    Delivery of training programs (CD-ROM or classroom “train the trainer” capacity)
    • Assure ontime delivery of technical training programs (project schedules/tracking system)
    • Ensure that training strategy exists and is maintained in appropriate territories
    Assist with training budget responsibilities
    Travel estimated at 5-15%

    Skills/Qualifications

    Training Developmental Experience
    Knowledge of diesel engines, components and systems operations
    Maintenance and troubleshooting
    Understanding of electronic engine controls
    Knowledge of marine propulsion systems and how they interact with the engine, a plus
    Proficiency with computers and common software programs
    Superior teaching/coaching/presentation skills
    Four year degree
