Which is the best way to apply strakes to a hull in maxsurf?

I recommend doing each strake as a single surface with linear (order 2) flexibility transversely. Intersect them with the hull, leaving sufficient overlap inside the hull, and then used trimming to trim away the excess strake and the piece of hull surface inside the strake.

Make sure that the strake closes properly at each end, either by using a separate surface (e.g. a transom) for closure, or by making sure that the strake feathers out completely.
