mercruiser align

    I have an extra ft section of the drive shaft can I use that as an alignment tool instead of that alignment bar? thanks

    It won't be as accurate. The splines (male and female) have some play. The alignment tool has a smooth end that fits more tightly. It is better than nothing though.
