I found the motor I want, but it comes attached to a throwaway donor boat and the steering is different. Is updating from the (clothesline)
cable / pulley system to a cable system difficult. I am prepared to buy a new stering cable and have a route to the motor planned, are there any other factors to consider? I am new to boating and have so far learned everything the hard way. This new motor runs like a dream!

Its a newer motor (I wish I could afford brand new). The old motor is a 1968 johnson 55 hp (model# trl-10r) and the newer is an evinrude 70 hp 1981 (model # e70elcim).
