Mine is 15 feet long, in part because my shop I built it in is about 18 feet long and I need plenty of extra room for my coffee pot. My IQ also hovers around 15 as well, so that may have been a motivating factor in there somewhere. If I can overcome some family issues this weekend, Hull Number 11, so far named "Treehouse" will be launched on Labor Day or next weekend!

Hi all! A minor update here on Chugger 11, now firmly named "Tree House" in honor of my best friend, who passed away late last year. He and I built tree houses as kids! The last two weeks found me battling medical issues, namely a severely strained Achilles tendon and a kid who was in hospital as well! I am in fervant hope of having Tree House in the water on Sunday of this week, providing I can round up a few "Volunteers' to take the place of my Achilles tendon! Fingers crossed!

Oooo...no tapping for your foot I'd say. Get well and don't strain anything on our account. I blew out my knee about 6 weeks ago, dislocation but not too bad. Still wearing a brace and working on getting it back up to strength.

Thanks Steve! Hope you and your knee continue to heal. I found an old coffee table here made from black walnut, and today I am stripping it down and making it as the dinette table in the Chugger. The rest of it will be used as the galley shelf opposite the porta potty. My two cousins with a semi twisted sense of humor gave me an honest to god sextant they found. They somehow think I might get lost on the rivers here in Chicago! So I have to build a little shelf to have that in the boat as well!

Well, another few steps closer today....I had to modify my original idea about towing the boat behind my motorized bike because of my foot injury. I scrambled around this week and secured a small motorcycle that will have a hitch attachment to pull the boat by it's detachable hitch mounted on the bow. My aforementioned sick kid is also a welder and he says he is feeling better enough to get most of the welding done tomorrow! Woo hoo! Almost feels like I am back on track!
