Starboard for motor shim

    IMG_1111.jpeg A friend used two piece of 3/4” starboard to shim his 90hp Yamahas out.

    Any advice on the idea?

    The problem with Starboard is that it has creep deformation under constant load. It will need to be re-tightened ocassionaly.

    I warned them it probably would behave oddly, but I wasn’t sure if it’d crack or what..

    G10 would be a better idea.
