Thornycroft style steps

    Has anyone seen any modern examples of the Thornycroft stepped design. I mean the one that had a sort of huge trim tab behind the step.

    The interesting aspect was the large scoop like a trim tab behind the step, but all under the hull.

    The data shows good performance. The boats were built with rather flexible hulls to absorb pounding and disipate the energy. They were reported to have a nice ride for the speed. I would give a leg ( someone's not mine) to go for a ride on one.
