Looking forward to seeing your progress. I have been thinking about a 2.2m 2-piecer as a tender for a 6.4m sailboat.

The design behind this one is it must fit into a KIA Nero. Distance from tailgate to front seats is just over 1.5m so that determines the beam. The tailgate is 1 m wide so that is the max length of a section.
These things are very difficult to design to be sure it fits when you cut it into sections.
If you are doing a two section boat thats easy loads on youtube to study . double baulkhead at the right place and you are away.

I saw some being built last summer at the WoodenBoat School. They built the boats as one piece and then applied two bulkheads with a cardboard spacer for the saw kerf. Once the bulkheads were attached, the boat was cut into halves between the two bulkheads.

Same technique here except its a modified jon boat design curving to the front and rear. I had to make the stern section into a slightly narrower Pod and shortened it as I was too far from the outboard so the 12 ft became 10 ft.
Mounting the seats is a problem as they must be removable and yu can only put them on top of the bulkheads. Will finish when I get back from holiday and provide more pictures.
