    By A Software . Can Maxsurf Help Me?

    i want to predict increasing in draft due to ship motion in shallow water.

    You are referring to squat.

    There was a very good technical paper/article in The Naval Architect about 1 year ago on this very subject.

    Software like maxsurf wont help you.

    Maxsurf won't help you at all.
    Look into RAPID (from MARIN) or ShipFlow.

    Or, if you have lots of time and computer power, try OpenFOAM, Fluent or some other CFD code.

    There are also many empirical and semi-empirical methods.
