what sort of foam should I use?
I'm hoping to install a layer of dual purpose insulation/flotation between the zip in fleece and waterproof parka of this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019G0SS7...lC&pd_rd_r=TH2QM9NJ6STWPRGKB42F&pd_rd_w=ueVSp

Parka has 2nd set of zipper to zip in the fleece. Parka is 100% water proof but I'd still want to pepper the foam with about 1/2" holes spaced 2" to aid venting. I'm thinking of covering the foam with mesh like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073SP55NQ/ref=twister_B06Y5TD3PQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Then sewing onto the outside of the fleece. Foam doesn't NEED to cover the entire fleece, maybe extra foam at elbows, forearms and shoulders for padding.
